I have also attached the dream box and lexia directions in case you need them. All username and passwords for that have been written on the NTI packet we sent home. Here are optional activities if you child would rather do these instead of the ones on NTI Day 2 that are more focused on our current learning goals. If at any time the work is too hard or not challenging enough for your child please let me know and I can find work that is more individually fit for your child. Reading: Focus- Retelling the important details for story. Read a story together and have your child put of 5 fingers. With the thumb, they identify the main character, with the pointer finger, the main setting, the other 3 fingers are for the beginning, middle and end of the story. Focus- sight words will and with-- have your child write them in the snow or send me an email and have them type them in. Below is a link to a sight word song that reviews a lot of the sight words we already know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idexNu0SZpU The Sight Word Song High frequency word song rap for kids www.youtube.com Math: Focus- counting backwards and forwards- Choose a silly voice and start counting from 39 to 60, really emphasize what comes after 39 and 49..this is the trickest. Then count backwards from 30 to 15 slowly. you can even walk backwards to emphasize it is backwards counting. To make these easier or harder just use lower or higher numbers Math and Writing: Focus- Adding story & Review writing rules- Have your child draw a picture of any adding story. Then you can help them write about it in a sentence. For example 1 bird joined 1 bird. It made 2 birds. Help your child leave finger spaces and punctuation. You can even write it for them and have them point out the finger spaces and put the punctuation in. Again, if you have any questions, please email. Please feel free to send me pictures or post them on Facebook on our school page of your children doing NTI work We so hope to see all your children on Monday!!! Mrs. Brannen & Team
